Center for crime victims opens in Spokane
LINCOLN – The Martin Luther King Jr. Outreach Center, 845 S. Sherman St., has opened its Crime Victim Service Center.
The center will assist victims of crime in assessing their immediate needs, concerns and safety issues; help to identify and prioritize relevant needs and options; referral to local resources that may assist with the many issues associated with crime victimization; acting in support of victims when working with public service providers, creditors, employers, insurance companies and landlords; aid victims in obtaining medical care that respects victims’ choices and rights; and provide assistance in applying for restitution in criminal cases and retrieving property from law enforcement.
