Brace for a one-day heat wave today

Blue skies and temperatures in the mid- to upper 90s are expected to dominate today’s forecast throughout the Inland Northwest. Tonight brings another chance of thunderstorms with lows in the upper 50s. Friday’s temperatures are expected to cool down to the upper 80s and there will again be a chance of thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service. So far, the weekend is forecast as sunny with highs in the low to mid 80s and lows near 50, which is normal for this time of year, according to the Weather Service. Showers are again predicted starting Monday.
