Northwest Electric Fly-In - The annual gathering of electric model aircraft enthusiasts from throughout the Inland Empire. This is a casual get together for anyone who is interested in radio control model airplanes, helicopters, and other flying things. Visitors and spectators are welcome. Garland Street Fair – “Wizard of Oz”-themed eighth annual event with local musicians on two stages from 10:30 a.m.-5:15 p.m. Featuring food, entertainment, arts, crafts and activities for all ages. Judy Garland impersonation contest and a Toto look-alike contest. Dog contestants arrive at 10 a.m. in front of Bark & Snip. Live improv comedy acts throughout the day at Blue Door Theatre; and showing of the 1978 hit “The Wiz” starring Michael Jackson and Diana Ross at the Garland Theatre. Walk for Wishes - Join the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the nonprofit that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions, for its second annual event. This family-friendly 5K walk for all fitness levels and ages. The course is accessible to strollers. Walkers are also encouraged to fundraise by obtaining donations from family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc. and if they register online they can create their own fundraising Webpage.
