City Center owners’ SARP input sought
SPOKANE VALLEY – Property owners in the City Center zone of the Sprague/Appleway Revitalization plan are invited to attend a workshop Thursday from 8 to 10 a.m. at City Hall, 11707 E. Sprague Ave., to give their opinions on what should be changed about the zone. The various zones in the SARP are being re-evaluated by the current City Council and public input is being sought on each zone.
City staff will give a report on the public input during the workshop to the City Council at a future meeting and the council will decide what changes, if any, to make.
Shorter dock will be allowed
LIBERTY LAKE – A shorter version of a proposed dock for a waterfront housing development at Liberty Lake was approved this week.
Spokane County Hearing Examiner Michael Dempsey granted a substantial development for the 10-slip dock near McKenzie Bay Lane and the Zephyr Lodge. However, he sawed the proposed 158-foot structure off at 128 2/3 feet as measured from the high-water mark – a reduction of at least 20 feet.
The dock is to serve four waterfront lots, with a combined 300 feet of frontage, and six secondary lots. The Liberty Lake Conservation Partners project, represented by developer Jim Frank, will be on land owned by Mackenzie Bay Properties.
