New Christmas Fund donations

New donations totaling $3,287.14 received since the start of this year’s Christmas Fund campaign have elevated the tally to $29,740.92.

Gifts of all amounts are welcome. Donors’ names will be listed in daily newspaper stories. Donors who wish to remain anonymous should indicate their wishes in notes accompanying their gifts.

The South Hill Bunko Babes gave $505. Wrote Joy Moore: “We meet once a month for dinner, bunko and lots of fun. We have gotten very close over the years. Because we are so blessed, it is meaningful to reach out and make a small difference in someone else’s life.”

Bill and Mabel McInerney, of Priest Lake, donated $500.

An anonymous donor from Spokane gave $300 “in memory of my parents Tena and John and my husband and two sons. I wish I could do more.” Nancy Edwards, of Spokane, also gave $300.

An anonymous donor from Spokane gave $250.

Linda Cannon, of Spokane, donated $200.

Frances Waddell, of Spokane, gave $150.

John and Zoe Ann Foltz, of Spokane, donated $100. Jennifer Calvert, of Spokane Valley, gave $100. An anonymous donor from Spokane sent $100 and wrote: “Thank you for making it possible for the people of Spokane to help make others have a happy Christmas, especially the children.”

Joseph Toombs Jr. of Spokane Valley gave $100 in memory of Lois Toombs. Also donating $100 were Roger Palmberg; Ronald and Connie Hedrick; and another anonymous donor, all of Spokane.

Jennifer Stucker donated $96.80 via PayPal, as did Robert Driscoll.

Ada Honda of Spokane donated $50 in honor of her husband, Harry Honda. She wrote: “Thank you for this very worthy service for those in need.”

Betty Hanson gave $38.54 via PayPal.

Patricia Clark of Spokane sent $25 and a note: “Merry Christmas to all!” Doris Matsch of Spokane also donated $25, as did John and Diana Gentry of Spokane, who wrote: “Hope this small check helps someone to have a Merry Christmas.”

Victor Buksbazen of Spokane sent $25. He wrote a note: “The enclosed amount, while small, may help brighten the Christmases of a few kids – and in so doing remind them of the real reason we celebrate – the birth of the Christ-child.”
