Cougars sign two offensive linemen

Offensive linemen Rico Forbes and Taylor Meighen have signed national letters of intent to play football at Washington State University, head coach Paul Wulff announced Wednesday.

Both are expected to enroll in classes at WSU for spring semester, beginning Jan. 10.

Forbes, a native of the Bahamas who prepped at St. Pius High School in Houston, has spent the past two seasons at Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas. Forbes, at 6-foot-4, 260 pounds, originally signed an NLI with Baylor in February 2009, before attending Navarro. In 2010 he helped Navarro to an 11-1 record and the National Junior College Athletic Association national championship.

Meighen, a 6-3, 285-pound center from Beaumont, Texas, played the last two seasons at Kilgore College in Texas. He earned 2010 All-Southwest Junior College Football Conference first-team honors at center.
