Fire kills two near Upriver Dam

Two persons died early Sunday in a house fire near East Upriver Drive, fire dispatchers said. The cause of the 5 a.m. fire was under investigation. Spokane County Fire District 9 responded to the blaze at 6325 E. Upriver, which is near the Centennial Trail and Upriver Dam. Details were not available Sunday evening.
