Parrom leads ’Cats past Ducks
Kevin Parrom scored a career-high 20 points and Arizona easily defeated Oregon 76-57 Thursday night in the Pac-10 opener for both schools in Eugene, Ore.
Parrom came off the bench to make 8 of 9 field goals, 4 of 5 from 3-point range, to lead the Wildcats (12-2).
Jeremy Jacob scored 17 to pace the Ducks (7-6), who made just 1 of 17 3-pointers.
Oregon St. 80, Arizona St. 58: Joe Burton had a career-high 17 points and nine rebounds to lead Oregon State to a victory over Arizona State in the Pac-10 opener for both teams in Corvallis, Ore.
Jared Cunningham added 16 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Beavers (6-6).
Ty Abbott had 18 points, all in the first half, for Arizona State (7-5).
