In brief: SCC show features art, crafts, food
CHIEF GARRY PARK – The Spokane Community College spring Art/Food/Crafts Show will be in the Lair-Student Center, Building 6, 1810 N. Greene St. from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Feb. 27.
The show will include local artists and crafters displaying and selling their work.
Proceeds from the craft fair will support student scholarships and leadership activities sponsored through the SCC environmental science clubs, including agribusiness, horticulture, natural resources and water resources.

Body, mind, spirit fair planned Saturday
COMSTOCK – The Spokane Holistic Chamber of Commerce Mind, Body, Spirit Fair will be at the Unity Church of Truth, 2900 S. Bernard St., on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The event will include readings from medical intuitives, Tarot readings, local artists, life coaching, Tai Chi, massage therapy, quantum biofeedback, natural soaps, nutritional products and books and CDs for sale.
The fair is free and open to the public.
Dressbarn accepting professional clothing
SPOKANE COUNTY – From Feb. 25 through Feb. 28, Dressbarn women’s clothing stores will join nonprofit organizations, such as Dress for Success, in the eighth annual “Send One Suit Weekend,” to help underprivileged women looking to re-enter the workforce.
During the fundraising weekend, gently-used suits, pants, shirts, skirts, shoes and other professional items may be donated to any Dressbarn locations. Stores are located at 4724 N. Division St., in Spokane and 15533 E. Broadway in Spokane Valley. The donations will be distributed to local nonprofit organizations for women preparing for a job interview.
