Lawmaker’s position unclear

An Obama administration plan to modify terms of U.S. Small Business Administration loan programs and legislation passed in the U.S. House of Representatives to extend no-fee, 90 percent loan guarantees are separate initiatives. Rep. Nydia Velázquez, D-N.Y., opposes the former but supports the latter. A Sunday business column did not make the distinction.
