New faces

Dana Richardson has been hired as branch manager for Integra Telecom. He worked as general manager for XO Communications for 10 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Washington University.

The Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute has hired Donna Drader as the AmeriCorps placement program coordinator. She holds a master’s degree in natural resources from Washington State University and previously worked for the university’s Center for Advising and Career Development.

John Guarisco has been hired by MDI Marketing. He previously served as president of Marjoni Marketing. The company has also hired Michelle Stutz, Katie Guarisco and Mary Patterson, also former employees of Marjoni Marketing.

Kudos

The Association for Computer-based Systems for Career Information has awarded Gail Laferriere with a 2009 Certificate of Service for outstanding use of a career information delivery system. Laferriere serves as director of career services for North Idaho College.

Josh Fifield has earned a Professional Engineering License for Mechanical Engineering in Washington. He works for Northwest Engineering Inc.

Appointed

Lawrence Burnley has been appointed as assistant vice president for intercultural relations for Whitworth University. He previously served as associate dean for multicultural programs and as special assistant to the provost for diversity affairs at Messiah College. He has 15 years of related experience and holds a bachelor’s degree in African-American studies from the University of Cincinnati, a Master of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary and doctorate in education from the University of Pennsylvania.

Timothy Rostkoski has been appointed president and publisher of the Nickel’s Worth by the board of Nickel’s Worth Publications Inc. He worked as sales, distribution and production manager for the past 16 years and has been with the company since 1981.

Elected

Luther Russell has been elected as president of the Northwest Mining Association for a one-year term. He serves as vice president of environmental services for Coeur d’Alene Mines Corp.
