Three things we’ll be talking about this week

1. Used to be, a trip to play the Arizona Wildcats at the McKale Center in Tucson would be a daunting prospect. These days? Well, suffice it to say there’s a perceived chink in the armor. Not only were they unranked in the preseason college basketball polls, but the Wildcats didn’t even get a vote. For the WSU Cougars, Friday’s road game on FSN is an important Pac-10 matchup.

2. Can’t get enough of vampires? The “Twilight” saga, the “Underworld” films and Anne Rice’s “Vampire Chronicles” not enough to quench your thirst for bloodsuckers? Ethan Hawke and Willem Dafoe star in “Daybreakers,” set in a future world in which most humans have been turned into vampires, with the few survivors left to feed the world. It opens Friday.

3. Last time the Boise State Broncos went to the Fiesta Bowl, in 2007, they made quite the name for themselves in a spectacular upset of Oklahoma. Statue of Liberty, anyone? The undefeated Broncos won’t be sneaking up on anyone tonight, as they face tough competition from the also-undefeated Horned Frogs of Texas Christian University. Game time is 5 p.m. on Fox.
