Matthew Smith was not a resident of Morning Star Boys’ Ranch and has not named the ranch in his lawsuit against Washington state and Spokane County. A story Sunday contained incorrect information because of a reporter’s error.

Sergeant didn’t shoot

Michael E. Young was shot by Officers Griffin Criswell, Walter Loucks, Darell Stidham and Scott Bonney. No shots were fired by Sgt. Dale Golman, police said. Because of incorrect information supplied to the newspaper, an article Friday reported otherwise.
