Police identify man killed crossing 395

A 60-year-old man hit by a car on North Division Street on Friday was identified Tuesday by the Spokane Police Department.

Edgar G. Trantum attempted to cross U.S. Highway 395 at Westview Court in an unmarked crosswalk about 7 p.m. Friday, when he was struck by a southbound vehicle, police said.

He died early Saturday. No charges have been filed against the driver in the crash, which is still under investigation, police said.
