Hot dog and T-shirt sale - The annual event is hosted by the Newman Lake Fire Auxiliary and Newman Lake SCOPE to raise money to purchase equipment for the all-volunteer Newman Lake Fire Department. Hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and Sunday. Moab Junction, Trent and Starr Road.

Liberty Lake movie - A free showing of “The Pursuit of Happyness” at dusk, hosted by the Friends of Pavillion Park. Pavillion Park, Country Vista Drive and Molter Road.

Rockin’ B Ranch Cowboy Supper Shows with the Riders of the Rockin’ B - Shows Thursdays in July and August and most every Friday and Saturday through Sept. 5, except on July 10, Aug. 7, 28 and Sept. 18, when the ranch will present “Pat McManus Comedies” starring Tim Behrens. 5:30 p.m., pre-show youth performers; 6:10 p.m., “Twilight at the Spokane Bridge” cowboy vampire melodrama; 7 p.m., dinner including barbecued beef, chicken, ribs and more; 8 p.m., cowboy/western music by the Riders of the Rockin’ B. Spokane Valley Heritage Museum - “On a Wing and a Prayer,” aviation history of Felts Field profiling our local pioneer aviators, the formation of the Washington Air National Guard, the 1927 visit by Charles Lindbergh, and “Visionary Women,” women who shaped the history of the Spokane Valley, through Sept. 16.
