Churches offer Bible schools

School is almost out and the sun is making quick appearances, heralding not just the beginning of summer, but also the start of vacation Bible school.

Shiloh Hills Fellowship, 207 E. Lincoln Road, will present the Gospel Travelers VBS Monday through June 25 from 9 to 11:45 a.m.

Kids in kindergarten through the fifth grade are invited to attend this free camp.

Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church, 4102 S. Crestline St., will offer “Clean Water for All God’s Children,” a Vacation Bible School starting Monday through June 25 from 9 to 11:45 a.m. or from 1 to 2:45 p.m.

Summer lunches

Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 3307 W. Rowan Ave., in conjunction with Spokane Public Schools, will offer free lunch for children 17 and younger now through Aug. 24.

The meals will be served at 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday at the church.

The church and Amazing Grace Lutheran Church will also offer an informational session to support Lutherans looking for a Bible-based congregation. The session will be held Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

Family film night

Lidgerwood Presbyterian Church, 4449 N. Nevada St., will present the movie “Yankee Doodle Dandy,” starring James Cagney, on Friday at 7 p.m.

Singles groups

Christian Singles Fellowship will hold its June meeting Saturday at 7 p.m. at North Addison Baptist Church, 6120 N. Addison St.

This month’s speaker will be John Gruss who will discuss the topic “Garden Pests.”
