NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Gonzaga University’s Genna Dodge and Victoria Fallgren, who will begin their sophomore seasons for the Bulldogs this fall, will tee off today at the 34th United States Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship to be played at The Warren Golf Course at Notre Dame on the University of Notre Dame campus.

A field of 156 competitors will play 36 holes of stroke play today and Tuesday with the low 64 scorers advancing to match play. A 36-hole championship is scheduled for Saturday. This is the first time the WAPL will be played on a university- or college-owned golf course.

A native of Lakewood, Calif., Fallgren finished in a four-way tie for third at 71 in the Chino Hills, Calif., sectional qualifying played at Los Serranos Golf & Country Club.

Dodge, from Post Falls, didn’t know until last week she would be playing after qualifying as an alternate. She shot a 74 and was one of two alternates in the Tacoma sectional qualifier played at Meadow Park Golf Course.
