Rock blasting to close I-90 at Snoqualmie tonight
One-hour shutdown to effect travel Thursday night as well
Interstate 90 on the east side of Snoqualmie Pass is going to be closed for one hour at 8 p.m. for rock blasting as part of freeway widening from Hyak to Keechelus Dam, state officials said.
Evening blasting began a month ago and was planned for Mondays and Thursdays, but the additional blast is being done tonight to help move the project along.
Another rock blast is planned for Thursday at 8 p.m. as well.
Drivers across Snoqualmie Pass should plan for delays on Mondays and Thursdays for blasting, but it’s also a good idea to check for possible delays on other days.
