Filling Empty Bowls

The Key Clubs of Central Valley, East Valley and University high schools held a fundraiser Tuesday night for the Spokane Valley Partners food bank.

CV club adviser Krista Larsen said the groups raised about $1,000 for the food bank.

Attendees received a student-made ceramic bowl at the event. Larsen said there were plenty of bowls left over and the students will decide what to do with the extras.

The event included a dinner of soup, salad, bread and dessert. There was also live musical entertainment provided by the high schools.

The three Key Clubs are sponsored by the Spokane Valley Kiwanis.
