NATIVE fundraiser is today

The NATIVE Project/NATIVE Health annual fundraiser is today from 5 to 10 p.m. at Northern Quest Casino.

Proceeds from a poker tournament, silent auction and raffle will go to support the Indian Youth Summer Program for 150 children in kindergarten through eighth grade.

The summer program is designed to increase academic competency, promote healthy lifestyles and reduce childhood obesity, diabetes, substance abuse and violence.

Local journalism is essential.
