Transferred Former Washington reserve basketball guard Elston Turner Jr. says he’ll transfer to Texas A&M. The son of Houston Rockets assistant Elston Turner announced plans to leave the Huskies last month. Turner was a big factor as a sophomore in the Huskies’ surge to the Pac-10 tournament crown and the NCAA tournament round of 16.

Out The Indiana Pacers say guard A.J. Price will need 4 to 6 months to heal from a knee injury he suffered while playing in a charity basketball game. Price was injured in New York on Saturday night. He was examined by team doctors Monday and will undergo surgery today in Indianapolis to repair a fractured left patella. Price, heading into his second year out of Connecticut, averaged 7.3 points, 1.9 assists and 1.6 rebounds in 56 games as a rookie.

Ordered New York Knicks center Eddy Curry defaulted on a $570,000 personal loan while keeping up a lifestyle that included a suburban New York home costing $17,000 a month, a $6,000-a-month personal chef and a dozen cars he’d bought for himself and relatives, a judge said. On Friday, a Manhattan court ordered Curry to pay $75,000 a month to lender Allstar Capital Inc. to resolve a debt that swelled to $1.2 million with interest. The court also has issued an order letting Las Vegas-based Allstar seize three of the cars.
