Pedestrian hit; driver not cited

A Spokane man was struck by a car Friday evening when he stepped into traffic on Division Street, according to the Washington State Patrol. Raymond P. Woods, 52, was hit in the northbound lanes of Division by a car driven by 18-year-old Tyler N. Trautman, of Chattaroy, the WSP said. Woods was heading west on Wedgewood Avenue when he tried to cross the roadway. The WSP said Woods was believed to be under the influence of alcohol. No charges were filed against the driver. Woods was taken to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center for treatment.
