ALERT system tests start today
Spokane County will test the ALERT Spokane system today through Tuesday.
ALERT Spokane sends a telephone message to residents and businesses in the county that are impacted by, or in danger of being impacted by, an emergency or disaster.
The tests are scheduled for:
Today – Noon to 2 p.m.
Monday – 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday – 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
If you are in one of the test areas you may receive a prerecorded message on your land-line telephone or other registered method of contact.
Those with a Qwest land line are automatically in the ALERT Spokane database. Those with cellular phones, Voice over Internet Protocol systems, or who wish to be contacted by e-mail must register.
