Police say van used to steal gas
Two men were arrested for theft Sunday night after they were caught in a minivan that had been modified to hold hundreds of gallons of gasoline.
David M. Dawson, 32, and Ricky E. Marsh, 38, were booked into Spokane County Jail on felony charges of retail theft.
Police responded to a Pacific Pride station at 144 E. Jackson Ave. about 10 p.m. Sunday and found two men attempting to take gasoline from in-ground tanks, according to police.
Police said the interior of the van had been converted to hold large quantities of gasoline. Arresting officers said the men had been at Pacific Pride earlier to steal gasoline.
