In brief: Lake City Playhouse casting ‘Elephant Man’
COEUR D’ALENE – The Lake City Playhouse will hold auditions for “The Elephant Man” on Monday and Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Harding Family Center, 411 N. 15th St. in Coeur d’Alene. Call backs will be on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
The cast is in need of nine men and five women, between the ages of 20 to 65. Auditioners will be required to do cold readings from the script and should wear appropriate clothing for movement.

HAYDEN – The North Idaho Building Contractors Association will hold its annual golf tournament, the “Caddy Shack Open,” on Friday at Avondale Golf Course at 7 a.m. The event will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Kootenai County.
Cost is $80 per player or $320 for a four-player team. Cost includes a cart, green fees, the barbecue and a raffle ticket.

Fall cleanup days scheduled Sept. 18, 25
POST FALLS – The city of Post Falls has scheduled two upcoming fall cleanup days for residents. The special trash pickup is limited to residential households within the city limits.
On Sept. 18, trash will be picked up for residents on the regular Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday trash routes. On Sept. 25, trash will be picked up for residents on the regular Thursday and Friday trash routes.
Yard cleanup items must be placed at the street by 6:30 a.m. Saturday, the day a resident’s area is scheduled for pickup. There will be no callbacks or extension of pickup dates.
Items can be no larger than 4 feet in height and 4 feet in width. Items not being accepted are tires, motors, engine blocks, transmissions, auto body parts, concrete, brick and stone debris, and hazardous materials including paint and motor oils. Items from commercial businesses and construction sites will not be collected.
