Food distribution - Second Harvest will distribute free food and fresh produce from its mobile food bank truck to anyone who needs it. No appointment or documentation is required and the distribution does not count as a food bank visit. Those seeking food are asked to bring their own box. Family Astro Night - For ages 6 and older. Spokane AIDS Walk - Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Riverfront Park North Bank Shelter. Walk will commence at 10:30 a.m. with both four- mile and one-mile options. The theme this year is “Cover your head, lace up your shoes, and walk for SAN,” and the event includes a hat contest as well as prizes for the individual and teams raising the most funds. Registration is available at www.SpokaneAIDS.org. Participants can register as individuals, form a team, or join an existing team. Individuals and teams compete against one another in recruiting members and raising funds. All proceeds support the Spokane AIDS Network in their work to serve those living with HIV and AIDS and to prevent the spread of the disease.
