Cutthroats differ by river

Cutthroat trout have different strategies for surviving summer heat.

Couer d’Alene River fish tend to stay in the same general areas from spring through fall, holding where they find cool-water springs.

St. Joe River cutts tend to migrate upstream starting around mid July.
