Indicted The woman who falsely accused three Duke lacrosse players of raping her in 2006 was charged Monday with murder in the death of her boyfriend. Crystal Mangum, 32, was indicted in Raleigh, N.C., on a charge of first-degree murder and two counts of larceny. She has been in jail since April 3, when police charged her with assault in the stabbing of 46-year-old Reginald Daye. He died after nearly two weeks at a hospital.

• A Charlottesville, Va., grand jury indicted former University of Virginia lacrosse player George Huguely on murder and other charges in the death of a member of the women’s team he had been dating. Huguely is accused of entering Yeardley Love’s apartment on May 3, 2010, and slamming her head into a wall.

Arrested Reds pitcher Mike Leake was arrested on a shoplifting charge at a downtown Cincinnati department store, accused of trying to steal six shirts with a total value of $59.88. Leake was booked on a first-degree misdemeanor charge of shoplifting. It carries a maximum of 180 days in jail.

Extended New York Mets left fielder Jason Bay’s minor league rehabilitation assignment has been extended by two more games. The former Gonzaga University and North Idaho College star, on the disabled list since spring training with a strained left rib cage, began his rehab assignment Saturday. He is expected to be activated for Thursday’s game against Houston.

Injured The Oakland Athletics put lefty Dallas Braden on the 15-day disabled list and transferred right-hander Rich Harden to the 60-day DL. Braden left Saturday’s game after five innings with shoulder stiffness. A strained right shoulder has sidelined Harden since spring training.
