Moos guides Reardan to tournament title

Kelsey Moos had 28 points and 12 rebounds Thursday as Reardan won the championship game of its tournament with an 86-47 decision over Almira/Coulee-Hartline.

Zari Reeves added 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Indians (9-0). Reardan’s Tori Wynecoop added six assists.

Madeline Isaak and Kelsey Streeter scored 12 points apiece for the Warriors (6-2).

Columbia 68, Chewelah 24: Mackenzie Parrow scored 17 points, hitting 8 of 12 from the field, and added five rebounds as the Lions (9-1) topped the Cougars (2-7) in the consolation. Columbia’s Lindsay Loe added 11 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocked shots.

Yakima SunDome Shootout

Granger 39, Colfax 36: The Spartans used a 9-2 run in the final 2 minutes to edge the Bulldogs (3-3). Hannah Harazin had a game-best 15 points for Colfax. The Bulldogs finished with 33 offensive rebounds while Granger had 37 total rebounds.

Also at the tourney, Riverside beat Columbia (Burbank) 41-32; White River topped Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) 47-38; and Woodland defeated Colville 28-21 in the lowest-scoring game in tourney history.

Rosalia tournament

Rosalia 55, Davenport 41: Briann Maley had 22 points and nine rebounds as the host Spartans (9-0) topped the Gorillas (4-4) in the title game. Maddy St. John and Kristin Paulson had 10 rebounds apiece for Rosalia. Davenport had 30 turnovers.

Asotin 52, Wilbur-Creston 30: Cheyane Nelson scored 13 points as the Panthers cruised past the Wildcats (2-4) in the consolation game.

Timberlake tournament

Kamiah 42, Timberlake 32: Shelby Cloninger scored 15 points to lead the Kubs past the host Tigers (6-5).

Chelan tournament

Lake Roosevelt 34, Chelan 32: Dominique Pleasants had 14 points and six rebounds as the Raiders (4-2) defeated the host Goats in the championship game. Jada Desautel had seven assists and five steals for the Raiders. Freshman Katelynn Schilling provided the inside defense when the Raiders’ starters got in foul trouble in the second quarter.

Nonleague

Ferris 62, Moses Lake 42: Athina Brown scored a career-high 16 points and added four steals as the Saxons (3-4) overcame a slow start to beat the visiting Chiefs. Moses Lake, which had 21 offensive rebounds, scored its first 11 points on second chances. Ferris’ Maya Bouton countered ML’s early dominance with 10 rebounds. The Saxons hit 9 of 20 3-pointers while the Chiefs were 1 of 16.

Cashmere 78, Cheney 40: Breanne Knishka scored 26 points to power the host Bulldogs past the Blackhawks. Allie Brown led Cheney (3-5) with 16 points.

St. John-Endicott 51, Liberty 34: Rachel Gfeller had eight rebounds and combined with Devan Bafus for 26 points as the host Eagles (4-3) defeated the Lancers (0-8).

Oroville 50, Wellpinit 45: Lily Hilderbrand scored 17 points to carry the Hornets past the visiting Redskins (1-6). Wellpinit’s Dani Flett and Valerie Adrian combined for 33 points, including 16 in the fourth quarter.
