Spokane creates $20 vehicle tab tax

Spokane motorists soon will have to dig a bit deeper to license their vehicles. A divided City Council decided tonight to impose a $20 local tab tax to raise money for street maintenance and repairs. The vote was 4-3. The tab tax will begin getting added to licensing fees in about six months.
