Three found dead in upscale home near Yakima
YAKIMA – A husband and wife, along with his mother, were discovered dead in a home in an exclusive neighborhood outside Yakima on Friday in what Yakima County sheriff’s detectives are considering a triple homicide.
Yakima County sheriff’s officials identified the three apparent homicide victims Saturday as William Goggin, 61; Pauline Goggin, 60; and Elizabeth Goggin, 98. William Goggin was a founding owner of Gray Surveying and Engineering in Yakima, according to licensing records maintained by the state of Washington.
Sheriff’s deputies discovered the bodies late Friday morning upon responding to the home for a welfare check. A co-worker of one of the victims became concerned because he had not heard from the person since Wednesday, according to a news release issued by Stew Graham, chief of detectives for the sheriff’s office.
Deputies found a door to the home open when they arrived. They discovered the older woman’s body upon entering the home, Graham said in the news release. The husband and wife were located in other parts of the home.
Autopsies are scheduled for Monday.
No arrests have been reported, and sheriff’s deputies have not released any information about possible suspects.
