Religion Notebook: Service honors the dead

The Spokane Buddhist Temple, 927 S. Perry St., will present a Shotsuki-Hoyo (Remembrance) service Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

Temple members will honor the memory of a deceased parent, family member or friend. All are welcome to attend.

Lutheran Ministries Northwest will offer 10-week courses on the Gospels, worship tradition and practices and Christian education starting Monday.

The classes are open to all denominations.

Central Lutheran Church, 512 S. Bernard St., will offer Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University starting Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The 13-week course will discuss changing the way you think about and use money.

The first class of the series, “Super Saving,” is free. If you choose to continue with the classes there is a $93 course fee.
