President’s words inspired

Yes, I am proud to be an American. Yes, I am proud Mr. Barack Obama is my president. I feel secure and optimistic about our future.

Hearing the 26,000 cheering and appreciative young people in attendance, I felt I was there among them, listening to the remarkable and inspiring words of Mr. Obama, who believes that by being respectful, thoughtful and compassionate, we can heal our national wounds.

I am grateful for the president’s moral leadership in this historic moment for America, and I believe that the youngest victim, 9-year-old Christina, will stay with us forever, reminding us what life is truly about.
