Idaho Vandals outlook
RECORD: 12-7 overall, 5-2 WAC
COMING UP: Tonightat Louisiana Tech; 5 p.m.; Saturday at New Mexico State, 6:30 p.m.
OUTLOOK: The Vandals, coming off an emotionally draining loss to Boise State, begin a two-game road swing that’s proven troublesome in the past. Idaho has yet to win at Louisiana Tech or New Mexico State since joining the WAC in 2005. UI has never won a game in the state of Louisiana, but it’s bagged five straight on the road and walloped LTU by 30 in the teams’ first matchup in Moscow. The Bulldogs (9-12, 0-7) have lost eight straight games. They’re led by guard DeAndre Brown (16.0 ppg) and beefy post Olu Ashaolu, the WAC’s leading rebounder at 9.4 per game. NMSU (10-11, 4-3) is one game behind the Vandals.
