Love leads WV past rival

Hannah Love poured in 32 points to go with nine rebounds, leading West Valley (14-4, 7-3) to a 55-27 romp over Great Northern League rival East Valley (11-7, 7-3) Saturday at WV.

Shaniqua Nilles added 11 points for the Eagles, who outscored the Knights 47-21 over the first three quarters, moving into a tie with EV for second place in the GNL.

Clarkston 56, Pullman 39: Jamie Weisner finished with 13 points, K.C. McConnell added 11 points and the visiting Bantams (14-5, 9-2) used a 21-8 run in the second quarter to take a 16-point halftime lead over the Greyhounds (13-5, 7-4). Dakota Wickard led the Greyhounds with 10 points.

Cheney 56, Medical Lake 44: Allie Brown tallied a team-high 19 points and Destinee Lake scored 12 consecutive points in the third quarter to lift the host Blackhawks (8-9, 4-6) to a win over the Cardinals (5-14, 1-10). Lake finished with 15 points and five steals for the Blackhawks. ML’s Amelia Cook led all scorers with 24 points.

Intermountain

Priest River 36, St. Maries 24: Steffie Pavey filled the stat sheet with 10 points, nine steals and seven rebounds and the host Spartans (9-9, 4-2) maintained their hold on the No. 2 spot in the IML with a win over the Lumberjacks (5-12, 2-5). Holly Hirst chipped in nine points for PR.

Timberlake 62, Bonners Ferry 35: Kara Wenstrom scored 20 points, Cassie Thompson added 16 and the visiting Tigers (16-3, 7-0) clinched first place in the IML with their win over the Badgers (3-14, 2-4). The Tigers took a 39-17 lead at halftime.

Northeast A

Lakeside 31, Newport 28: Lexie Zappone scored 11 points and hit a pair of free throws to clinch the win for the Eagles (13-6, 6-3) against the Grizzlies (13-6, 4-5) at Nine Mile Falls.

Riverside 57, Chewelah 30: Courtney Davis did it all for the host Rams (4-14, 1-8), scoring 26 points to go with 20 rebounds, four blocks and four assists, helping them earn their first league win of the season. The Rams built a 15-point lead after one quarter, outscoring the Cougars (4-15, 1-8) 18-3 in the first eight minutes.

North Star

Wallace 44, Kootenai 13: Taylor Pasley scored 19 points to go with four steals, Courtney Jennings added 15 points and the host Miners (8-7, 5-1) earned a win over the Warriors (0-12, 0-6) in Wallace’s first game back following the death of coach Kirby Krulitz.

Bi-County 2B

Reardan 53, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 46: Chantel Heath poured in 17 of her 19 points in the second half as the visiting Indians (15-2, 13-0) exploded for 39 points after the break. The Broncos (8-9, 6-7) allowed just 14 points in the first half.

Colfax 32, Northwest Christian 22: Amelie Bruya tallied 11 points to lead the Bulldogs (10-7, 10-3), who outscored the Crusaders (9-8, 7-6) 11-2 in the fourth quarter to pull away. After Colfax took a 13-12 lead in the first quarter, both teams went scoreless in the second quarter.

Davenport 37, St. George’s 33: Miranda Mielke led all scorers with 23 points, Maranda Brantley added eight points and 10 rebounds and the host Gorillas (6-10, 5-7) held off a late run to beat the Dragons (2-14, 2-10). Morgan Cambareri had 12 points and six rebounds for the Dragons, who went on a 10-4 run in the fourth quarter.

Kettle Falls 53, Springdale 51: Samantha Charlton scored 15 points and the visiting Bulldogs (11-6, 9-4) held off a fourth-quarter run by the Chargers (0-17, 0-13). Taylor Smith had 15 points and nine rebounds for Springdale, which outscored the Bulldogs 21-14 in the fourth.

Bi-County 1B

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 69, St. Michael’s 10: Madeline Isaak led all scorers with 13 points, Nikki Osborne added 12 points and five assists and host ACH (16-2, 6-0) outscored St. Michael’s (1-13, 0-5) 64-4 in the first three quarters. Kodi Noggled and Shelby Streeter each scored 10 for ACH, which had four players finish in double figures.

Odessa-Harrington 68, Wilbur-Creston 25: Justyne Talkington notched 17 points and seven rebounds and after being tied 12-12, the visiting Titans (9-9, 5-2) blew things open, outscoring the Wildcats (7-10, 2-4) 56-13 the rest of the way.

Panorama

Wellpinit 52, Inchelium 44: Lauren Flett and Sami Jo Parr scored 13 points apiece and the Redskins (12-8, 8-3) went on a 13-2 run in the third quarter to erase a four-point halftime deficit against the host Hornets (2-13, 0-11). Jade Sargent led the Hornets with 21 points, six assists and five rebounds.

Selkirk 64, Curlew 24: Annie Crouch hit 3 of 4 from 3-point range and scored 16 points, Jessika Reiber tallied 12 points and the visiting Rangers (15-5, 8-3) jumped all over the Cougars (5-12, 2-9), taking a 38-10 lead at halftime.

Southeast 1B

St. John-Endicott 55, LaCrosse-Washtucna 26: Alli Winters led a balanced scoring attack with 11 points, Erin Schuster tacked on seven points and 10 rebounds and the host Eagles (16-1, 11-1) cruised to a win against the Tigercats (1-16, 0-12), outscoring them 46-18 in the first three quarters.

Colton 72, Rosalia 26: Jenna and Haley Moser combined for 32 points with three 3-pointers apiece and the Wildcats (17-1, 12-0) blew past the visiting Spartans (11-7, 6-6), outscoring them 37-8 in the second half. In the third quarter alone, the Wildcats went on a 20-1 run. McKenzie Heaslet added 11 points for Colton.

Pomeroy 51, Tekoa-Oakesdale 35: Melissa Bartlow and Karlie Martin each scored 12 points and the host Pirates (13-3, 10-3) cruised to the win against the Nighthawks (7-11, 3-9).

Garfield-Palouse 43, Touchet 36: The Vikings (7-10, 4-8) defeated the visiting Indians (4-13, 3-9).

Nonleague

Post Falls 61, Moscow 43: Brooke Litalien hit four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 15 points, Tori Davenport added 14 points and the host Trojans (8-11) outscored the Bears (5-14) 35-17 in the first half, cruising to the win.

Lewiston 62, Sandpoint 22: Tannis Fuller and Tisha Phillips each tallied 16 points and the host Bengals (16-3) held the Bulldogs (7-13) to no more than eight points in a quarter. Jordan Steelman led the Bulldogs with seven points.

Cusick 53, Valley Christian 51 (OT): Andrea Heinen finished with 31 points and 12 rebounds and Cusick (6-10) edged host Valley Christian (7-10), outscoring VC 8-6 in the overtime period. Jasmiine Ayala had 14 points and eight rebounds for VC.

Lake Roosevelt 48, Chelan 39: Dominique Pleasants scored a game-high 17 points and the host Raiders (10-6) held the Goats (3-10) to just two points in the fourth quarter.
