Hwy. 26 near Dusty reopens after truck crash

A rollover collision involving a semi-truck partially blocked state Highway 26 west of Colfax in the vicinity of the wheat farming community of Dusty for several hours this morning. Washington State Patrol troopers said that highway traffic was slowed through the area while the incident was investigated and the wreckage moved. State Department of Transportation employees assisted with traffic control. The accident 16 miles west of Colfax occurred about 5 a.m. The highway was reopened by 11:30 a.m. The driver suffered only minor injuries, troopers said. The highway serves as the main east-west route from Interstate 90 at the Columbia River in Central Washington to the Palouse region.
