Van Orman won’t run for re-election

Several people in Liberty Lake have filed to run for the city council.

Mayor Wendy Van Orman will not run for re-election. The two candidates who have filed to fill her position include a former mayor Steve Peterson and City Councilman Josh Beckett.

Position 5, currently held by Judi Owens, is the only other contested position.

Mayor: Peterson, Beckett; Position 1: Susan Schuler, incumbent; Position 3: Daniel Dunne; Position 5: Keith Kopelson; Shane Brickner; Position 7: Cristella Kaminskas, incumbent.
