New faces

Cassie Miller has been hired as a real estate agent for Keller Williams Realty Spokane. She previously worked for Windermere Real Estate.

ALSC Architects has hired Nathan Jenkins as a senior project designer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Washington, is a LEED Accredited Professional and has more than 13 years of related experience.

Randall Guidinger has been hired by Numerica Credit Union as branch manager of the Lyons branch in Spokane. He previously served as branch manager of Kitsap Credit Union in Silverdale, Wash., and has more than 21 years of credit union industry experience. He holds associate’s degrees in liberal arts and radio broadcasting from Spokane Falls Community College and a bachelor’s degree in communications from Eastern Washington University.

Community Colleges of Spokane has hired Keith Foster as chief financial officer. He previously served as vice president of administrative services at Grays Harbor Community College in Aberdeen, Wash., and held various positions at Washington State University for 25 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration/ finance and a master’s degree in business administration/ management from Washington State University.

Bob Pate has been hired as an account executive for Fidelity Associates Insurance Brokers. He has 17 years of insurance industry experience. The company also hired Molly Hoyle as an account manager. She has worked in the insurance industry for the past 19 years.

Hagadone Hospitality has hired Mike O’Brien as general manager of The Best Western Plus Coeur d’Alene Inn and Conference Center. O’Brien previously served as general manager of the Holiday Inn Express in Coeur d’Alene and has worked in the hospitality industry for the past 15 years.

Promotion

Schweitzer Mountain Resort has promoted Rod Engel to director of real estate development. He has been with the company since 1999.

New positions

Julie Honekamp has been named CEO of SNAP. She has served as deputy director of the organization since 2007.

Coeur d’Alene School District 271 has named Warren Olsen principal of Coeur d’Alene High School. Olsen previously served as principal of Fernan Elementary and has worked at Coeur d’Alene High School as an assistant principal for curriculum, a counselor and a speech and English teacher.

Jim Owens has been named regional travel manager of the eastern region for AAA Washington in the Spokane office. He has worked for AAA Northern California, Nevada and Utah for the past 24 years.

Kudos

The Washington Agriculture and Forestry Education Foundation presented Patricia Playfair with its Carol Mercer Inspirational Award during the foundation’s leadership program Class 32 graduation. Playfair is an accountant for Rafter Seven Ranch Inc. in Chewelah, Wash.

Vern Ziegler and Leonard Terzenbach have been inducted into Spokane Home Builders Association’s Home Builders Hall of Fame. Ziegler is founder and owner of Ziegler Lumber Co., and Terzenbach is a Certified Green Professional and Certified Graduate Associate with Bell Anderson Insurance.

ASCD, a national educational leadership organization, selected Suzann Girtz to join its 2011 Emerging Leaders program. Girtz is an assistant professor at Gonzaga University’s School of Education.

Judy Colenso was named Citizen of the Year by the Washington State Chiropractic Association. Colenso is a litigation paralegal with Paine Hamblen LLP.

Gifts

The Allstate Foundation has awarded Drew Hodgson with an Agency Hands in the Community Award for his volunteer work in the community. The award includes a $1,000 grant to be presented to the Liberty 4H, the nonprofit organization where Hodgson volunteers. Hodgson works as an Allstate agent in Spokane.
