In brief: Tandem rally this weekend

WEST HILLS – The 26th annual Northwest Tandem Rally, sponsored by the Spokane Regional Sports Commission, will be Friday through Monday and will include more than 600 tandem cycling enthusiasts.

“Pedalin’ the Palouse” is expected to include over 300 bikes, all with two, and some with three riders each. Headquarters for the rally will be at Mukogawa Fort Wright Institute, 4000 W. Randolph Road.

Junior soccer signup under way

SPOKANE – Registration is now open for Spokane Junior Soccer’s fall/spring 2011-’12 season.

The league is for youths ages 4 to 14. Cost is $48. To register visit www.SpokaneSoccer.org.

Craft fair planned at Harvard Park

LINCOLN HEIGHTS – Harvard Park Retirement Community, 1616 E. 30th Ave., will have a craft fair and luncheon on July 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Attendees will have an opportunity to enjoy lunch by an on-site chef and visit a number of vendor booths and purchase local crafts. The event is free and open to the community. To reserve a space, call (509) 747-2703.
