Stocktons make community proud

How much better could life be for a man (John Stockton) who had a fabulous collegiate career in basketball and was certified to be too small for the NBA, yet set many records in a long and successful pro career?

Well, how about topping all that off with a son (David) who was a walk-on at Gonzaga and has become a valuable leader who has sparked the Zags into the NCAA tournament as a freshman?

And how proud can Spokane citizens be of these talented and dedicated athletes being native to Spokane, a continuation of the legacy, with so much exhilaration and promise in the years to come?

Most elite athletes move on to live a luxurious life in the upscale communities to the south. The Stockton family should be lauded for its contributions and commitment to the quality of life in our community. We are proud to be the home of the Stockton family.
