New Faces

Brian Proctor has been hired as a sales associate for Windermere North Spokane LLC’s Spokane office. He previously owned BD Proctor Developments.

DCI Engineers has hired David Smith as a structural project engineer. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Oregon State University.

Alex Gates has been hired as a certified orthotist and licensed prosthetist for Kootenai Prosthetics and Orthotics of Coeur d’Alene. She is a graduate of the University of Washington’s orthotics and prosthetics program.

Numerica Credit Union has hired Chris Gunning as a business banking relationship officer. She previously worked for Intermountain Community Bank. She has 20 years of banking industry experience and holds a bachelor’s degree in business. Universal Funding Corporation has hired David Bingham as a compliance attorney. He has worked in private practice for the last two years.

New Position

Oldrich Povolny has joined DCI Engineers’ structural CAD department in Spokane. He previously worked in the company’s Seattle office and has been with the firm since 2006.

Golf professional Kathy Gildersleeve-Jensen has joined Indian Canyon Golf Course as director of instruction for the Jensen-Lindeblad Impact Golf Academy. She previously worked at Deer Park Golf Club for 15 years.

Promotions

Numerica Credit Union promoted Sherrie Arruda from an IT department manager to assistant vice president of information systems. She has been with company for more than 15 years.

Patrick Shimon has been promoted to general manager of Red Lion Hotels Spokane properties. He previously served as a general manager of the Red Lion Hotel Denver Southeast property and has been with the company since 2010.

Joseph Strang has been promoted to Washington regional nurse consultant for Avalon Health Care. He previously served as director of nursing for Avalon Care Center in Spokane and has been with the company for four years.

Kudos

The Washington Library Association presented Mike Wirt with a Merit Award for Outstanding Performance. Wirt is director of Spokane County Rural Library District. The association also presented Kristie Kirkpatrick with Merit Awards for Advances in Library Service and for Outstanding Performance. Kirkpatrick is director of Whitman County Rural Library District.

Elected

The law firm of Scopelitis, Garvin, Light, Hanson and Feary, P.C. has elected Gregory Feary as president. Feary also serves as a managing partner of the firm. Beck Taylor has bee elected to the Thrive by Five Washington Board of Directors. Taylor is president of Whitworth University.
