CV to stage ‘Narnia’

The Central Valley Theatre Department presents its final production of the year, “Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” based on the novel by C.S. Lewis. The characters include, in front: Peter, played by Ashton Toth; Susan, played by Tegan Monaghan, and Edmund, played by Christian Koch. The drama department at Central Valley High School is offering “Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” for its final production of the school year.

The story is set in the 1940s during World War II when four children are moved to the countryside from London to escape the Blitz.

They find the secret land of Narnia inside a wardrobe in their new home. In Narnia, they have adventures with supernatural creatures, fight evil and return the land to its original glory.

The cast includes Ashton Toth as Peter, Tegan Monaghan as Susan, Christian Koch as Edmund, Amanda Guarisco as Lucy, Lani Call as the White Witch, and Matt Busch, Brandon Carter and Aaron Croom as Aslan.

Ryan Edie will play Mr. Beaver; Alanna Hamilton, Mrs. Beaver; Kaleigh Fox, the unicorn; Josh Bacheller, centaur; Trey Julian, the centaur tail; David Malinak, Mr. Tumnus; Carter Holloway, Fenris Ulf; Daniel Graham, dwarf; Makade Claypool, Father Christmas; Adam Blykert, elf; Dexter Calkins, Nathanial Koch, Daniel Graham, and Adam Blykert, white stags.

The White Witch Army will be played by Ashley Stenson, Amber Gimlin, Lauren Hollenbaugh, Emily Travo, Brittany Castillo, Mara Orenstein, Landon Toth, Patrick McGruder, and Carter Holloway.

Other cast members include Kendra Sherrill, Ethan Erickson, Katelyn Graham and Amanda Headlee.

The crew includes Jessica Boynton, Richy Morgan, Chase Julian, Kellie Watson, Tim Barrier, Mandi Clark, Spencer Cole, Devan Morgan, Kaelyn Yandt, Salina Johnson, Megan Clark and Alexandria McGlaucklin.

The character of Aslan the lion is performed in a life-size puppet and the production will include white stags, a unicorn and Mr. and Mrs. Beaver.
