New faces

VibrantUSA has hired Lynn Wold as a licensed insurance agent for the company’s Spokane office. Wold has more than 23 years of public speaking and customer service experience.

Hanna and Associates Inc. in Coeur d’Alene hired Joe Preston as art director and Krista Yep as copywriter. Preston previously worked for various Northwest firms as an art director. He attended Spokane Falls Community College and The Art Institute of Seattle, where he studied graphic design. Yep previously worked in the San Francisco area as a freelance writer, attended Miami Ad School in San Francisco and graduated from the University of Oregon. The company also hired Carly Chandler as an administrative assistant. She holds a degree from the University of Idaho.

Stephanie Osborne has been hired as director of international tax for Coeur d’Alene Mines Corp. She previously worked as a tax manager for International Coal Group Inc. in Charleston, W. Va. She has extensive tax and accounting experience and holds a master’s degree in accountancy with a tax concentration from Virginia Tech. The company also hired Julie Garrett as corporate accounting services supervisor. She previously worked for Nighthawk Radiology and has more than 10 years of accounting experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University and is a certified public accountant.

Mike Fruci has been hired as a sales executive for Payne Financial Group’s personal lines department. He previously served as president and general manager of Fruci Construction and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Eastern Washington University.

Design Source Inc. promoted Angie Everstine to principal. She has been with the firm for 15 years.

Joseph Strang has been promoted to Washington regional nurse consultant for Avalon Health Care. He served as director of nursing for Avalon Care Center in Spokane for the past four years and has been with the company for more than eight years.

Kudos

Nancy James has been named Washington State’s Outstanding Dietician of the Year and Michon Williams as Recognized Young Dietician of the Year by the Washington State Dietetic Association. Both James and Williams work for Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and Children’s Hospital. The association also presented Lisa Randall with a Community Practice Award for Excellence. Randall is clinical coordinator for Community Health Education Resources Diabetes Center in Spokane and is director of Camp Fun in the Sun.

NAI Global presented Jeff Johnson with its Chairman Award for performance in 2010. Johnson serves as president and partner for NAI Black Commercial Inc. in Spokane.

MetLife Inc. named Financial Planning Division, an office of MetLife of Spokane “Financial Planning Firm of the Year” for the second consecutive year.

Jason Thackston has been elected to Whitworth University’s board of trustees. He is vice president of Avista Corp. and a 1992 Whitworth graduate.
