State 4A softball semifinals set at Merkel Complex
Undefeated Woodinville, Marysville-Pilchuck, Walla Walla and Skyview advanced to the semifinals at 9 this morning at the Merkel Sports Complex in northwest Spokane.
Woodinville (23-0) defeated Emerald Ridge 4-1 and Tahoma 6-0 in nine innings. Lauren Burchak belted a grand slam in the ninth inning. The Falcons will meet Marysville-Pilchuck (22-2), which posted a 5-3 win over Kentlake and a 6-3 victory over Richland.
Skyview (18-6) knocked off Wenatchee 6-1 and Jackson 8-3. The Storm will face Walla Walla, a 10-0 winner of Thomas Jefferson and a 5-0 victor over Eastlake.
