Pills aren’t the answer
One out of every six teenagers has made plans to commit suicide. This huge number is a problem that has haunted parents and family members for years.
Suicide rates are going up all the time, and along with it are the sales of medication drugs. Many people think that the best way to deal with depression is to buy a bottle and sit back as a pill does all the work. However, many antidepressants work for the first year and then have a drastic change in the opposite direction.
The best prescription for depressed young adults is sunlight, exercise, healthy food and a person to talk to. Good health is long-lasting, and covering up a problem does not make it go away. It just makes it want to break out more.
Drugs may make teens seem happier at first, but an artificial smile can wear off much easier than a pill.
