Coder guides Lakeland to victory over Kellogg

Josie Coder hit 5 of 8 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 17 points as Lakeland routed Kellogg 61-28 in a nonleague basketball game Saturday night in Rathdrum.

After a competitive first quarter, the Hawks outscored the Wildcats 26-4 in the second to take a commanding 39-13 lead.

Cieana Close had 11 points, five steals and four assists and Jordan Ward added seven points and six steals for Lakeland.

Hunter Rainio had a team-high 12 points for Kellogg.

Coeur d’Alene JV 55, Bonners Ferry 35: CDA JV dominated the third quarter and cruised to a win over the visiting Badgers.

The Vikings outscored Bonners Ferry 19-1 in the third after trailing by four points at the half.

Brittany Tackett scored a game-high 20 points and added six rebounds and three steals to guide Coeur d’Alene JV. Erin Higbie added nine points and 11 steals for CDA JV.
