SUV rolls off Evergreen offramp

A driver faces a charge of vehicular assault after his vehicle rolled off the Evergreen offramp from westbound Interstate 90 this afternoon. The white sport utility vehicle landed on its top after it rolled off the ramp, which doesn’t have a guardrail. A passenger was transported to Sacred Heart Medical Center after the 1:23 p.m. accident, the Washington State Patrol said in a news release. The driver, whose name hasn’t yet been released, also was charged with driving while intoxicated, WSP said.
