She was born to John F. and Naoma C. Jamison McConnell on July 18, 1947 in Cheney, WA.
She was the youngest of 14 children and was raised on the family farm southwest of Cheney, WA.
She graduated from Cheney High School in 1965.
She met the love of her life in the summer of 1971 and wed Larry Scoles on March 8, 1973.
Kathy was a caregiver for 40 years.
The last 19 years she was an NAC at Life Care Center of Ritzville.
She loved spending time with her three grandchildren and was anxiously anticipating the arrival of two more grandchildren this summer.
She was an amazing cook and loved to fish.
She is survived by her loving husband Larry (Sprague), son Larry Scoles II (Sami Jo) of Spokane and three daughters: Amanda Osborne (Kevin) of Sprague, Katie Zimmer (Josh) of Spokane and Beth Scoles of Spokane: a granddaughter Taylor, two grandsons: Tucker and Turner, and two angels yet to be born - Keoni and Connor; two brothers: Del McConnell of Goldendale, WA and Don McConnell of Nevada and one sister: Doris J. Wilson of Sprague.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in her name to The American Cancer Society or the Children’s Miracle Network.
Funeral Services will be Thursday April 5, 2012 at 1:00 PM at St John Lutheran Church in Sprague.
