Join effort to break diaper-change record
CLIFF/CANNON/ COEUR D’ALENE – In an attempt to break the 2011 Guinness Book of World Record of most babies changed into to cloth diapers simultaneously, local businesses will host the Great Cloth Diaper Change on April 21.
Beginning at 9:30 a.m., members of the community can visit the Woman’s Club of Spokane, 1428 W. Ninth Ave., or the Salvation Army Kroc Center, 1765 W. Golf Course Road in Coeur d’Alene, and take part in the worldwide cloth diaper change. The event is a fundraiser for the Real Diaper Association, an international organization that provides support and education about cloth diapering.
In Spokane, a silent auction will be held and after the diaper change, local families can buy, trade and sell items until 11 a.m. In Coeur d’Alene, visitors will have an opportunity to win raffle prizes during the diaper change. For more information, visit www.greatclothdiaper change.com.
Check-in for the event is at 8:30 a.m.
