Obituary: Skeen, Eleanor Mae
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Ellie, 79, was born on November 9, 1932 in Spokane, WA to Richard and Elsie Raasch.
She graduated from Rosalia High School in 1951.
Shortly after she was married and started a family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Lucille Fisk.
She is survived by her husband Lowell, sister Minnie Curtis, daughters Donna and Tammie, sons Dan and Tim, stepchildren John and Levi, her many grandkids: Landon, Loni, Andy, Wyatt, John Jr., Emily, Jase, Zack, Jacob, Gwendolyn, Tyce, James, Jenny, Bibi and Kelsey, and last but not least Daisy- her beloved basset hound.
Ellie married the love of her life, Lowell Skeen on November 29, 1991 and spent the rest of her life happily married to him.
Ellie loved spending time with her family, especially her sister and friends, doing assorted baking, listening to music, and visiting with neighbors.
Even being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer didn’t take away her contagious smile and laughter.
Her “huggies” we will never forget.
Even though we will miss her dearly, we rest in the fact that she is with the one she served and loved; it is with that faith and knowledge that gives us peace.
Family would like to thank our hospice nurse Shannon and Family Home Care & Hospice for their help and support in her last days.
Service will be held on April 21, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Country Church of the Open Bible, 40015 North Collin Road, Elk, WA.
John Repsold officiating.
